Stash

Stash as Artists Storage

What is “Stash” in Packer-IO

The Stash serves as both a visual and data repository, providing quick access to your imported assets and eliminating the need for repeated reloading. Each time an object is imported into Packer-IO, it is automatically stored in the Stash. You can access the Stash panel by clicking the Stash button or pressing ‘D’ on your keyboard. This allows you to easily retrieve and continue working on your stored objects. Additionally, objects can be removed from the Stash when they are no longer needed.

Stash Functionality

The Stash feature allows you to switch between different assets seamlessly, enhancing your workflow efficiency.

Import Objects into Stash

Every time an object is imported into Packer-IO, it is automatically stored in the Stash.

Switch between objects

In the Stash interface, you can easily switch to a different object by simply clicking on one of the imported objects. This brings the selected object into the viewport. Any changes you make will remain persistent as you switch between objects.

Exit Stash

To return from the Stash to your current scene object, you have several options:

  • Click on the highlighted slot, which represents the current object.
  • Click the “Close” button in the top right corner.
  • Click anywhere in an empty space.

Remove Objects from Stash

If you wish to declutter your Stash, you can remove assets that are no longer needed. To do this, click on the trash bin icon in the corner of the object’s slot. Note that removing an object from the Stash will only remove it from Packer-IO, not from your hard drive.
