Look Transformations
In the software’s interface, user will find the Looks Widget located at the bottom. This widget includes special tools designed for transforming and adjusting MatCaps to suit your needs.
Look Name
Within the Looks Widget, there is a section titled ‘Look.’ Here, the name of the currently active MatCap is displayed, making it easy for you to identify which MatCap you are working with at any given time.
Tiling
Another feature in this widget is ‘Tiling.’ This function enables you to apply a MatCap across your object in varying resolutions. You can choose to tile your MatCap in 1, 2, 4, or 8 steps, providing flexibility in how the texture is displayed on your object.

Tiling works only with the Checker MatCap.
Look Rotation Wheel
Additionally, the 'Look Rotation Wheel' is a significant tool found on the right side of the widget. This interactive wheel allows you to click and drag to rotate the current MatCap. Our research indicated that many users prefer having different MatCaps with varying directions of light. This feature is particularly useful for those looking to enhance the visualization of small details or to better understand the three-dimensional form of an object. The Look Rotation Wheel facilitates this by enabling real-time adjustments to the lighting direction of the MatCap, offering a dynamic and user-friendly way to modify how light interacts with your object.
