Installation and Licensing

Installing BonesPro

Workstation Installation

ℹ️
Use the official installer to automatically place all required files into the correct directories.

To install BonesPro on a machine, simply run the installer. It will place all required files into their corresponding default directories.

There are separate installers for different versions of 3ds Max.
Make sure to use the installer that matches your version.

Network Render Installation

⚠️
All render nodes must have BonesPro installed if the modifier is used in the scene.

Network rendering requires the plugin to be installed on every machine participating in rendering.

For render farms, you can use the BonesProProxy plugin:

  • Does not allow editing skinning setups
  • Supports evaluation and rendering
  • Does not require additional licenses

Refer to the BonesProProxy documentation for more details.
